313 Buildathon · For experienced builders

Before you start.

Line these up Friday night so Saturday is build time, not setup time.

    Node 22 (LTS) installed

Download the LTS installer from nodejs.org — not nvm, not Homebrew. Run it, click through, done. Check it worked with `node -v` — it should start with 22.

    A free Cloudflare account

Sign up on the free plan — no credit card, ever. This is the account your agent runs on for $0, and where your public URL lives.

The starter kit downloaded and installed

On the GitHub page, click the green "Code" button → "Download ZIP". Unzip it to your Desktop and rename the folder to triage-agent. Then open a terminal, run `cd ~/Desktop/triage-agent`, then `npm install`. It's the slowest step — do it first. The folder layout inside src/ is shaped for a team of agents; you build the first one.

    A code editor

VS Code (free) if you don't already have one — any editor you drive well is fine. You'll edit a few files: your agent's persona, the scribe's briefing, and one deliberate break.

Logged into Cloudflare from the starter folder

Inside the starter folder, run `npx wrangler login` and approve it in the browser tab it opens. The agent's model runs on Cloudflare even while you build on your laptop, so the dev server won't start without this. The starter's `npm run preflight` checks it for you. If it hangs on venue wifi, copy the URL it prints into a browser, or use your phone hotspot.

    The pillar descriptions, read

Read them before you design anything. Pillar adherence is a major judging criterion, and it decides whether an agent is even the right build for your idea.

  • 07

    The credits intake form, submitted

This build runs free on Cloudflare, so you don't need it for the agent itself — but submit it anyway if there's any chance you touch Lovable for your pillar project. It's also how the event tracks tool usage across the weekend.
